01/26/2010 - THAWOUT TrackDay 2010: Track days are what automotive enthusiasts live for. Join GMP Performance on Friday, April 30th for THAWOUT TrackDay and an exclusive opportunity to become a member for a day at the Palmetto Motorsports Club located at Carolina Motorsports Park. In addition to the THAWOUT TrackDay and in celebration of the 35 year history, GMP Performance will be unveiling its restored 1975 Rabbit Race Car. Join us and other European automotive enthusiasts for a fun filled day at the track! In previous years, GMP Performance has partnered with organizations to host the THAWOUT TrackDay on Sunday's, which made for packed tracks. Palmetto Motorsports Club has extended an exclusive invitation to share this day with registered GMP Performance clients. The intimate PMC format guarantees a minimum of five, twenty minute sessions, with additional sessions as time permits, all in one day. Palmetto Motorsport Club members are entitled to exclusive track time on special club days throughout each month. These days are typically relaxed run groups with limited amounts of vehicles on course. Enthusiasts are divided into three groups; "Driver's Education" for novices with instructors, "Solo" for those more experienced and "Super Solo" for Racing Vehicles. Registration for the THAWOUT Track Day is currently available and an all-inclusive event ticket is $300 for driver's ed participants with assigned instructors* and $250 for individuals with Solo and Super Solo credentials. Registration includes track time, onsite track support in addition to a lunch reception at the PMC Clubhouse. *Driver's Ed participants must be signed up at least two weeks prior to the event to organize instructor assignment. For those not registering to participate in the TrackDay, we welcome you to join us at CMP as spectators. CMP has recently added a karting track and kart sessions are available for $20 per ten minutes. There will also be an opportunity for enthusiasts to get on track for Touring laps. A series of controlled speed laps will be performed for those looking to familiarize themselves with what its like to be on track. These laps will be held during the mandatory quiet hour at lunch. A THAWOUT TrackDay Caravan will be leaving from GMP Performance at 6:00am. Approx. travel time is 1 hour and 30 minutes. 7:45am : Mandatory Driver's Meeting 8:00am : Morning Track Sessions Begin 12:00pm : PMC Luncheon/Touring Laps 1:00pm : Afternoon Track Sessions Begin 5:00pm : Track Sessions Concluded

10/27/2006 - speedART releases 997 Turbo products: The German Porsche tuner speedART has released products for the new Porsche 997 Turbo. A front lip spoiler adds to the stock bumper for a more aggressive appearance and added downforce. A rear wingblade attaches to the stock piece and raises and lowers the same as stock. A new stainless exhaust system adds a sporty sound and horsepower to the wheels.

08/03/2006 - Forge makes VW MK5 Blow-Off Valve: The sound of wooshing air between shifts is now available for the 2006 and up VW Golf, jetta and Audi A3 2.0 Turbo. This device is available either as a constant air valve or can be purchased as a 3-way adjustable version.

04/11/2006 - THAW OUT Open House May 6th, 2006: We are all anxious to get out and enjoy the weather so come join us at GMP for THAW OUT. The snow is melted and the cold air is gone so there is no excuse for anyone to not join us.
